This article explains how to change the UUID in X-Series Rev. B units
Steps for changing the UUID in X-Series Rev. B units can be found below.
1. Check current UUID by entering into the ADMIN BIOS by restarting computer and pressing the Ctrl + F2 key and enter the password eloelo
2. Navigate to the MAIN tab and scroll down to SMBIOS list and hit enter.
a. In this example, the current UUID is: 6F3282D4-07CF-11E8-9798-AB5F5FB00400
3. To change the UUID, download DMIEDIT.EXE here.
4. Right click on the DMIEDIT.EXE and choose “Run as administrator”
5. Go to the “System Information” section and double click on the UUID line.
6. The DMI Editor will open, showing the current UUID.
a. Change the values in the Hexadecimal Value field to your desired value and then choose OK.
7. Go to the Update tab in the DMI EDITOR and choose “ALL”
8. A dialog box will appear asking, “Are sure to update data?” Choose YES
9. Another dialog box will appear stating “Updating DMI data done!” Choose OK
10. Close the DMIEditor, restart the computer and enter the BIOS to see changed UUID
