This article defines and explains Nit
Nit (nt): A unit of measurement of luminance, or the intensity of visible light. One nit is equal to one candela per square meter (1 nt = 1 cd/m2).. Nits are used to describe the brightness of computer displays, such as LCD and CRT monitors. The higher number of Nits the brighter a display screen will appear.
A Nit is measured direct light whereas a Lumen is measured reflective light. 1 nit is equal 3.5 lumens.
Typically the Nit value of Elo products is listed on each individual product spec page under the "brightness" section.
