Resolution: The number of pixels that can be displayed on a screen, specified as the number of pixels in a horizontal line multiplied by the number of horizontal lines. For example; a resolution of 800 x 600 is 800 pixels running horizontally and 600 pixels running vertically - a total of 480,000 pixels.
