This article explains EloView 3 subscription options and how they EloView account and devices
EloView offers different levels of subscriptions to ensure users are able to access the features they need for any project. These are all accessed via EloView's Subscription Management feature.
EloView Subscription Management
EloView Subscription Management allows for simple account management and online payment options. New and existing users (who have not yet finalized their subscription) have a 45-day trial period to decide which licenses will be required to meet their needs. Existing EloView users who are currently paying via invoice will continue to do so and all devices will be in Control Mode.
Once an account owner has determined how many licenses are required, changes can be made on the Subscription Status page. Additional licenses for each Device Mode can be added here. Device Modes include:
- Core
- Connect
- Control
More information on Device Modes can be found here
The user may also reduce the number of devices under each license as long as that number is equal to or more than the number of actual devices currently in that mode. To reduce the number of licenses further, the user must first change the mode(s) by clicking Device Mode under the Settings tab for the device(s) or under the Group/Filter Settings area. Once the appropriate licenses have been distributed appropriately on the Subscription Status page, the user can then choose Subscribe and fill out the payment fields for automated monthly credit card payments. EloView automated credit card payments are managed by Stripe.
Prices for licenses will adjust automatically based upon the quantity chosen. Invoices will be visible in the EloView Portal and emailed to the appropriate billing contact provided during the credit card payment signup process. Subscription changes can be made at any time during the billing cycle and payments will adjust automatically. If for any reason the card is declined, EloView will attempt to charge that card four more times over the next two weeks. An email reminder will also be sent to the billing contact. If the credit card payment is unsuccessful after the fourth attempt, the account will be switched to Cancelled and all devices will automatically be changed to Core Mode. Devices will maintain connectivity to the EloView Portal for an additional 7 days. After the 7 days, all connectivity to the Portal will be disabled.
EloView Subscription Statuses can be viewed on the Subscription Status page. These statuses include:
- Trial โ The 45-day period the user has to evaluate EloView before finalizing subscription. All users receive 10 Connect and 10 Control licenses during this trial period.
- None โ This status indicates that either the trial period has expired, or the user has chosen to unsubscribe, forfeiting the full-feature complimentary trial. All devices will automatically be moved to Core Mode and will no longer have connectivity to the EloView Portal. The user will still have the option to begin a new subscription at any time after this change has been made.
- Subscribed โ This status indicates the user has subscribed to any EloView subscription. Choosing any subscription immediately ends the trial period for that account.
- Unpaid โ This status indicates that EloView was unable to process automated payment for any reason, such as an out of date credit card. The user will receive a notification when logging in to the EloView Portal and an email reminder will be sent to the billing contact that the card on record requires attention. If the issue is not corrected within two weeks, the account will be changed to Cancelled status. All devices will be immediately changed to Core Mode and will not have connectivity to the EloView Portal.
- Cancelled โ This status indicates that either the user has chosen to cancel their EloView subscription, or credit card payment has been unsuccessful for a period of two weeks and the account has been switched to Cancelled status. User can cancel their subscription at anytime by selecting the Unsubscribe button from the Subscription Status page. The user will continue to maintain previous subscription benefits until the billing cycle is complete. At this point, all devices will automatically be moved to Core Mode and will no longer have connectivity to the EloView Portal.
