How to apply an OTA update using USB flash drive? (Auto Update)

This article explains how to apply an OTA update using a USB flash drive on Elo Android I-Series 4.0 devices.

Download the latest offline OTA update file from Elo Technical Support .
Format a USB flash drive (32GB or smaller recommended) using FAT32.
Rename the downloaded file to update.zip and copy it to the root of the USB drive.

⚠️ Long or incorrect file names may cause the update to fail. Ensure the file is named exactly update.zip.

Unplug the device power cable.
Insert the USB flash drive into a USB-A port on the device.
Press and hold the Home button, then reconnect the power cable.
Wait until the power LED stops flashing, then release the Home button.
The device will display the Elo logo and enter Android Recovery Mode.
Use the Home button to navigate and the Power button to select.
Select Apply update from U-Disk, then choose the update.zip file.
The update will begin automatically. The device will reboot once the process is complete.

ℹ️ Do not remove power or the USB drive during the update process. Interrupting the update may cause system issues.
