This article explains how to configure and use the Reboot Timer feature in EloView 3.
Overview
In certain scenarios, scheduling periodic reboots can help improve device stability and performance. Reboots can:

Free up memory
-
Resolve network issues
-
Maintain long-term performance
EloView 3 offers two timer options:
1. Reboot Timer

Schedules regular reboots at specified times.
-
Useful for proactively maintaining device health.
2. Watchdog Timer
-
Automatically reboots devices every 24 hours if they lose connectivity.
-
Helps recover devices that may become unresponsive or disconnected from the network.
Accessing Timer Settings
To configure either timer:

Navigate to the Devices page in EloView.

Select the device(s) you want to configure.

Click the Edit or Settings option.

Locate the Reboot Timer or Watchdog Timer settings and configure as needed.

Click Apply to save changes.
Tip: Always review scheduled times to avoid reboots during critical business hours.
