This article explains how to enter Android Home for Android based I-Series, PayPoint, ECM and Elo Backpack
Please see the procedures below to enter Android Home on Android based I-Series, PayPoint, ECM and Elo Backpack.
For I-Series 1.0 including the following part numbers: E021014, E516732, E021574, E021201, E021767, E541788, E021388, E021970 and E541994 and I-Series 2.0 including the following part numbers: E610902, E614194, E611101, E614391, E611296, E614592, E611480, E614786, E611675 and E614981
1. Enter EloView Control Panel by pressing the Home and Power buttons simultaneously on the back of the unit
2. When prompted for password enter: 1elo (Default)*
3. From the Home tab, tap 5 times anywhere in the white area until Android Home button appears
4. Tap Android Home
5. Select “Yes” on the prompt to exit EloView
6. The unit will reboot to the Android Desktop
7. To restore EloView, perform Backup & reset function from Android Settings, this will erase everything on the I-Series
PayPoint for Android Rev A including the following part numbers: E301918, E314251 and E067745
1. Enter EloView Control Panel by pressing and holding the power button adjacent to the printer cover
2. When prompted for password enter: 1elo (Default)*
3. From the Home tab, tap 5 times anywhere in the white area until Android Home button appears
4. Tap Android Home
5. Select “Yes” on the prompt to exit EloView
6. The unit will reboot to the Android Desktop
7. To restore EloView, perform Backup & reset function from Android Settings, this will erase everything on the PayPoint
PayPoint for Android including the following part numbers: E346732, E347129, E347513 and E347918
1. Enter EloView Control Panel by pressing the Home and Power buttons simultaneously, rotating the display head will reveal these buttons on the back
2. When prompted for password enter: 1elo (Default)*
3. From the Home tab, tap 5 times anywhere in the white area until Android Home button appears
4. Tap Android Home
5. Select “Yes” on the prompt to exit EloView
6. The unit will reboot to the Android Desktop
7. To restore EloView, perform Backup & reset function from Android Settings, this will erase everything on the PayPoint
ECM Android Computer Modules including part numbers: E000739 and E336899
1. Enter EloView Control Panel by pressing and holding the Home button on front (See Figure 1 below)
2. When prompted for password enter: 1elo (Default)*
3. From the Home tab, tap 5 times anywhere in the white area until Android Home button appears
4. Tap Android Home
5. The unit will reboot to the Android Desktop
6. To restore EloView, perform Backup & reset function from Android Settings, this will erase everything on the ECM
Elo Backpack including part number: E611864
1. Enter EloView Control Panel by pressing the Home and Power buttons simultaneously on the front of the unit
2. When prompted for password enter: 1elo (Default)*
3. From the Home tab, tap 5 times anywhere in the white area until Android Home button appears
4. Tap Android Home
5. The unit will reboot to the Android Desktop
6. To restore EloView, perform Backup & reset function from Android Settings, this will erase everything on the BackPack.
For devices already provisioned to an account, please ensure that “Android Home” is enabled within that device’s settings tab in EloView
* For EloView accounts created after December 2017, your control panel password is randomly assigned during the signup process. If you do not remember password, it can be obtained from your device’ setting tab on your EloView account.
* For Devices running EloView version 3.26.55 or later, you have the option of choosing between Factory data reset and Factory data reset (EloView).
Selecting Factory data reset will perform a full data wipe, but allow your device to remain in Android Home mode
Selecting Factory data reset will perform a full data wipe and restore your device to EloView mode
