This article provides the procedure to replace the RAM in a PayPoint Plus with Windows
Please follow the procedure below to replace the RAM in a PayPoint Plus with Windows.
Procedure
1. There is a RAM access door on the back of the head unit that must be opened to access the memory module.
a. To access you must remove a plastic sticker that covers a Phillips screw
b. Loosen the screw with a #2 Phillips screwdriver
c. The door will come forward and can be removed
d. Replace or add additional memory.
e. Specification for memory: 8GB 2666MHz Unbuffered, NON-ECC, DDR4- at least 2400MT/s, SO-DIMM 260-pin, 1.2V, on 1 of 2 slots (Expandable to 16GB)[1]
f. Factory installed memory in Elo PVT unit is shown below
Note: The below OEM memory modules have been tested and approved by Elo Touch Solutions:
1. ADATA - AD4S240038G17-BHYA (Elo P/N: E541236)
2. Kingston - CBD24D4S7S8ME-8 (Elo P/N: E409695)
3. Smart Modular - SH1026SO410872-HA (Elo P/N: E541423)
[1] Product can support 32 GB max (16GB per slot) however, we have not qualified any memory modules as of this writing.
