This article describes steps for updating EloView firmware version without connecting to a network (offline).
If necessary, you can manually update the Elo device firmware offline using a microSD card. In the instructions below, we are updating the firmware to version 3.36.102.
Preparing the MicroSD Card
1. Download the OTA files (version: 3.36.102) from this location: ic-paris-refresh-ota.zip
2. Copy the OTA file (zip) to the root directory of a MicroSD card
Updating the Elo Device Firmware
3. Unplug the power cable from the back of the Elo device
4. Insert the MicroSD card into the slot in the back of the Elo device
5. Press and hold the button on the back of the Elo device
6. While still holding the button, plug the power cable back into the back of the Elo device
7. From the Android Recovery menu, use the button to move the cursor to the “Apply Update from SD Card” option
8. Use the button to select this option
9. Use the button to move the cursor to the “ic-paris-refresh.ota.zip” option
10. Use the button to select this option
11. The firmware is now being updated. When done, the device will reboot itself
NOTE: If after completion the below screen appears, please select "Wipe data/factory reset"
12. After reboot, you can safely remove the MicroSD card
Check Firmware Version
13. On the device, access the Control Panel button by pressing the and buttons at the same time. If necessary, enter the password
Default password is “1elo” unless you changed it in EloView or the device has been registered in EloView
14. In the “Settings” area, verify that the firmware version has been updated.
