This article explains what the EloVIew - Smart URL is in EloView 3

Smart URL provides the ability to append custom EloView data to Webapp content before launching that content. This allows you to customize the website experience based on the device serial number, device site, or device name. Use this to display the inventory at your store, to display shoes for devices located in your shoe department, etc. 

This feature works by appending on your URL EloView specific query parameters. Currently three are supported.

• Device name - appends ?deviceName=
• Serial Number - appends ?serialNumber=
• Site Name - appends ?siteName=
