This article addresses compatibility of Elo IntelliTouch (SAW) monitors with Android Operating Systems and if there are any drivers.
Android Systems work solely through HID on touchscreens. There are no Elo touch drivers for Android systems. In most cases, IntelliTouch (SAW) technology will work on Android systems through HID; however, this requires the IntelliTouch monitor be pre-calibrated before connecting to the Android system.
IntelliTouch (SAW) can function through the Android HID settings but may need to be pre-calibrated before touch is aligned properly on the screen. To do this, you would need to connect the IntelliTouch monitor to a Windows computer, install the Elo Windows multi-touch driver and run through the setup and calibration on the monitor. After saving the settings, move the monitor to the Android system.
Note: in most cases, SAW touch monitors connected to Android Systems will only have single-touch capabilities. If your application requires multi-touch you will need to use one of Elo's PCAP or IR technology touch monitors.
