This article describes how to configure for touch and hold on an Elo PCAP monitor which is integrated with an Atmel touch controller
This swtiches the monitor's internal touch controller from "digitizer mode" to "mouse mode for PTT." Before trying the steps outlined in this article, please first view the following two Knowledge Articles:
If neither of the above Knowledge Articles helped, proceed with the steps below:
1. This procedure is ONLY for Elo PCAP monitors that are integrated with an Atmel touch controller. Attempting to do this on a non-Atmel device may cause the touchscreen to become inoperable.
To check if you have an Atmel touch controller follow the steps below:
b. Remove any Elo touch drivers that are on the system.
c. Go to Windows Device Manager and expand Mice and other pointing devices.
d. Right click on the HID-compliant mouse entries, choose Properties, go to the Details tab, click on the drop down arrow and choose Hardware Ids
e. If the touch controller is an Atmel controller, the VID value will be HID\VID_03EB
2. Once you have verfied that you have an Atmel controller, proceed with the steps below:
b. Unzip the PTT utility to a location on the computer
c. Double-click the PTT.bat file to execute the program
f. When the process is complete you will receive a message stating: "done... Press any key to continue... at this time press any key on the keyboard and the CMD window will close.
g. Cycle power to the monitor by disconnecting the power cable for 30-seconds, then reconnect the power cable.
h. Restart the computer and test the monitor.
