This article provides stylus options, compatibility guidelines, and recommendations for Elo displays utilizing AccuTouch® 5-wire resistive touch technology.

AccuTouch Stylus Availability

Elo no longer manufactures or sells a dedicated stylus pen specifically branded for AccuTouch resistive screens.

Because 5-wire resistive technology operates by pressing two conductive layers together to register a touch coordinate through physical pressure, almost any blunt, non-abrasive pointing device or passive stylus can be used safely without damaging the outer polyester surface.

Elo Stylus Compatibility Comparison

• IntelliTouch® Stylus (P/N: D82064-000 | STYL-TOUCHPEN-PS):
  Features a smooth plastic tip that performs well on AccuTouch resistive screens without risk of damage. (Note: Discontinued by Elo on February 24, 2025; existing stock or compatible equivalents may still be used.)
• TouchPro® PCAP Stylus:
  Not recommended for AccuTouch. While it can physically register a touch via pressure, its conductive mesh/metal tip can scratch or wear down the soft top membrane of a resistive touch screen over time.

Third-Party Stylus Options

Standard passive, plastic-tipped resistive stylus pens are widely available from commercial electronics vendors and are 100% compatible with Elo AccuTouch monitors.
