This article describes how to access the memory (RAM) for the Elo E-Series 2 POS System

The E-Series 2 systems are upgradeable to 8GB max (4GB on first slot and 4GB on second slot).

Memory Specifications

• Default Configuration for Memory (RAM) on EloPOS Systems:
  • 4GB 2666MHz DDR4 SO-DIMM on 1 of 2 slots

Memory Part Numbers

• 4GB 2666 MHz DDR4 Memory SO-DIMM - Elo P/N: E264186
  • (Expandable to 8GB maximum on 2 slots)

Tested Memory Modules:

• Smart Modular Technologies: ST5126SO451693-SC
• Kingston: CBD26D4S9S1KC-4

Steps
To access the memory (RAM) follow the below steps:

1. Disconnect power from the unit and place face down on a protective surface.

2. Remove and retain the Philipps screw and lower access panel.





3. Remove and save DDR cover.



4. To remove existing memory modules, pull the tabs on each side out and the module will pop up.



5. Insert the first memory module into the rear slot at an angle and then press down to lock it into place. Replace DDR cover and cable cover.



6. Insert the second memory module into the rear slot at an angle and then press down to lock it into place. Replace DDR cover and cable cover.
