This article explains why the "We'll Be Right Back" and "Excuse Us For A Moment" message is displaying on an Elo device
The “We’ll be Right Back” and "Excuse us for a Moment" messages will display on-screen whenever a device does not have content assigned to it or if there is a problem with the assigned content. This is common on new devices which have not yet been setup on the EloView portal.
To stop seeing the messages, see information below.
1. Press the Home and Power buttons, located on the rear of the device, at the same time.
2. A dialog box will appear asking for a password. The default password is 1elo
3. You have a few options to add content to the device
Use Android Home
- To enable this go to the control panel, and tap in the empty, white space on the Home tab 5 times, until the Android Home button appears.
- If the device supports Google Play Services, you can add content by downloading apps from Google.
- If the device does not support Google Play Services, content will need to be locally uploaded via USB
Use EloView (must have internet connection)
- Go to https://www.Eloview.com and select sign up. You will be given a trial period for using Eloview once approved (use your company email to sign up)
- After the trial period there will be a cost associated with the use of EloView. Visit the Payment tab under Account Settings to setup payment.
Upload APK or website locally via USB through the USB port on the device.
- If the device supports Google Play Services you can download .apks from Google.
- If the device does not support Google Play Services you can find .apks from other sources such as APK Pure
