How to Obtain Android 10 Device Logs Outside of EloView

This article explains how to enable and retrieve system log files from an Android 10 device from Elo — Now part of Zebra Technologies when the device is operating outside of EloView mode.

Enabling Elo Logging

To begin collecting system logs directly on the device storage, you must enable the logging option in the system settings:

1. Navigate to the built-in Android Settings application on your device.
2. Scroll down the settings list and select Elo settings.
3. Locate and enable the Elo Logging toggle switch.
   

Retrieving Log Files

Once logging is enabled, the device will output system logs to the local storage. You can access and copy these files using the default Files application or any preferred third-party file manager program.
