Steps:
1. Choose a designated Edge Connect location on your Elo device for the installation of the speaker bar kit. Elo recommends utilizing the bottom location, whether in portrait or landscape orientation.
2. Carefully remove the designated peripheral port cover from the Elo device.
3. Insert the speaker bar kit into the peripheral bay with caution, ensuring proper alignment to facilitate a secure connector mating.
4. Utilize the two flat head Phillips screws provided with the kit for installation, and optionally conceal the screws using the included adhesive mylar covers.
5. In instances where the speaker bar kit is connected to an Elo device lacking support for 1.2A on its Edge Connect, it is advised to utilize the Micro USB cable provided in the accessory box. This cable should be used to connect the rear Micro USB port of the speakers to an additional Edge Connect port for optimal sound and functionality.
6. Power on the system. The blue LED indicator on the Speaker Bar should illuminate, indicating that it has been successfully powered on. If LED indicator is red, the microphone mute may have been pressed - press the mute buton to unmute and the LED should return to blue.
7. Description of controls on Speaker Bar.
Troubleshooting:
No Power
In the event of the Speaker Bar experiencing power failure, navigate to the Windows Device Manager. Confirm its visibility within the "Audio inputs and outputs" section.
If the Speaker Bar does not appear in the Device Manager, verify the secure connection of the Micro USB cable and ensure both screws are tightened to affix the speaker bar securely to the device.
Consider connecting the optional Micro USB cable from the USB port located on the rear of the speaker bar to an alternate Edge Connect port on the device for troubleshooting purposes.
No Sound
a. If the Speaker Bar is experiencing a lack of sound output, proceed to access the computer's Sound settings and verify that the ELO Speaker Bar has been designated as the Sound Output device. Below are some illustrative examples providing users with an anticipated view of the Windows System Sound settings.
b. Consider connecting the optional Micro USB cable from the USB port located on the rear of the speaker bar to an alternate Edge Connect port on the device for troubleshooting purposes.
c. Ensure device is listed as a compatible Elo device in the Compatible Elo Devices section at the top of this article.
Mute Button Not Muting Sound
Please note that the mute button positioned on the Speaker Bar is specifically designed to mute the microphone input, rather than the sound output of the Speaker Bar itself. Activation of the mute function occurs with a single press of the button, distinguished by the illumination of the red LED, denoting that the microphones are muted. To reinstate microphone audio, a subsequent press of the mute button is all that is required.
