On August 8th, 2024, Elo will release a new update for its Android 12 devices as part of the OS 360 program. This update pertains to some recent security vulnerabilities included in the Android Security Bulletin. The OS update for Elo Value devices will incorporate the security patches released in the May 2024 Android Security Bulletin, whereas the Elo Standard and Mobile devices will include the security patches from the June 2024 Android Security Bulletin.
 
The most severe vulnerabilities fixed as part of this update address:
 
•    Local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed.
•    Local escalation of privilege in the kernel with no additional execution privileges needed.

Method of Distrubtion
This update will be available for download on the EloView cloud portal as a dropdown OTA on August 8th, 2024, and become the default OTA download on EloView and OEMConfig as of August 15th, 2024.
