How do I make my scanner light up and read data?

Our current barcode scanner lineup may use 123Scan to configure the scanner. Here is an example of an article with information to setup and use 123Scan. 

If the scanner's illumination light does not light, then the scanner may need to be placed in Keyboard mode. Below is a video which demonstrates how to use 123Scan's Data View tab to set the scanner's mode to Keyboard emulation. 

Click anywhere on the screen to pause the video. You can also use your left and right keyboard arrows to rewind and fast forward as needed.
