On October 8th, 2025, Elo will release a new OS update for its Android 7 and 8 devices. This update includes feature enhancements and bug fixes that will improve the performance and usability of these devices.

Some of the new features and enhancements as part of these releases: 

• Implemented X509 certificate-based provisioning to enhance device security and provisioning automation.
• Added support for on-demand content status updates to improve visibility into device activity and content playback on EloView.
• Optimized device reporting to prevent excessive sending of content status, now playing status, and screenshots, reducing unnecessary network traffic on EloView.
• Resolved an issue where devices could fail to come back online after migration due to improper handling of provisioning and MQTT connection errors.

Method of Distribution
This update will be available for download on the EloView cloud portal as a dropdown OTA on October 8th, 2025, and will become the default OTA download on EloView as of October 15th, 2025.
