On October 22, 2025, Elo will release a new OS update for the Android 12 devices. This update includes feature enhancements and bug fixes that will improve the performance and usability of these devices.

Some of the new features and enhancements as part of these releases: 

• Added an option to prevent the Backpack 4 device from entering sleep mode when connected to certain Samsung displays.
• Introduced enhanced signing and security controls for payment devices, enabling custom signatures and permission levels.
• Resolved issues with ZTE device enrollment failing during provisioning with third-party MDM solutions.
• Upgraded key device-side libraries and development tools to address security vulnerabilities and improve maintainability.

  Method of Distribution
  This update will be available for download on the EloView cloud portal as a dropdown OTA on October 22, 2025, and will become the default OTA download on EloView and OEMConfig as of October 29, 2025.
