Enrolling Elo I-Series 4.0 Devices Using Android DPC (Device Policy Controller)
This article explains how to enroll Elo I-Series 4.0 GMS devices using an EMM DPC identifier during the Android Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE).
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- Elo I-Series 4.0 device with Google Mobile Services (GMS)
- Active Wi-Fi connection
- EMM authentication credentials
- EMM DPC identifier
- EMM enrollment credentials
- QR code (if your EMM supports QR enrollment)
Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE)
- Power on the device.
- Tap anywhere on the screen to begin setup.
- Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
Note: Wi-Fi is required for EloView and EMM enrollment.
- When prompted for setup method, select Enroll with GMS.
DPC Identifier Enrollment
Workspace ONE
- Power on the Elo I-Series device.
- Connect to your Wi-Fi network.
When prompted to add a Google account, enter the following identifier:
afw#hub
- The setup wizard installs the Intelligent Hub automatically.
- After installation, choose one of the following authentication methods:
- Server Details
Enter Server URL, Group ID, and user credentials. - QR Code
Scan the QR code provided by your Workspace ONE environment.
- Server Details
- Accept the Privacy Policy, Data Sharing, and Terms and Conditions to complete enrollment.
SOTI MobiControl
- Power on the Elo I-Series device.
- Connect to your Wi-Fi network.
When prompted to add a Google account, enter the following identifier:
afw#mobitcontrol
- The setup wizard installs the MobiControl Agent automatically.
- After installation, choose one of the following authentication methods:
- Enrollment ID
- QR Code
- Accept the Privacy Policy, Data Sharing, and Terms and Conditions to complete enrollment.
Notes
- The Google account added during DPC enrollment is temporary and used only to download the management agent.
- QR code enrollment is recommended for faster, error-free provisioning.
- This process applies only to Elo I-Series 4.0 GMS models.
