Enrolling Elo I-Series 4.0 Devices Using QR Code (Android DPC)

This article describes how to enroll Elo I-Series 4.0 GMS devices using a QR code during the Android Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) for supported EMM platforms.

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

• Elo I-Series 4.0 device with Google Mobile Services (GMS)
• EMM authentication credentials
• EMM DPC identifier
• Server URL
• Group ID
• Username and password
• Enrollment QR code

Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE)

1. Power on the device.
2. Tap anywhere on the welcome screen to begin setup.

3. Connect to Wi-Fi, or select Set up offline if the Wi-Fi configuration is embedded in the QR code.

4. When prompted for the setup method, select Enroll with GMS.

QR Code Enrollment

Launching the QR Scanner

1. On the welcome screen, tap the screen six times.
2. The built-in QR code reader will launch automatically.

Workspace ONE

1. Scan the enrollment QR code.
2. QR codes can be generated using either of the following methods:
   • Workspace ONE UEM Console
     Navigate to:
     Device > Lifecycle > Staging > List View > Configure Enrollment
   • Third-Party QR Generator
     Generate a QR code using an online tool (such as Web Toolkit Online) with the DPC enrollment string.
3. The setup wizard will automatically:
   • Download the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub
   • Apply the server, group, and authentication configuration
   • Complete device enrollment

SOTI MobiControl

1. Scan the enrollment QR code.
2. QR codes can be generated using either of the following methods:
   • SOTI Stage Programmer
   • Third-Party QR Generator
     Generate a QR code using an online tool (such as Web Toolkit Online) using the SOTI DPC enrollment string.
3. The setup wizard will automatically:
   • Download the SOTI MobiControl Agent
   • Apply all configuration data from the QR code
   • Complete device enrollment

Notes

• QR code enrollment is the fastest and most reliable provisioning method for zero-touch deployments.
• Wi-Fi can be preconfigured in the QR code, allowing fully offline initial setup.
• The temporary Google account used during DPC provisioning is removed after enrollment.
