Where can I find information about PMB 749, Elo Transition Notice: I-Series & Backpack 2.0/3.0 & Select Accessories?

As part of a major upgrade to Elo’s Android AiO platform, the I-Series & Backpack® 2.0/3.0 product lines are being discontinued and transitioned to our next generation I-Series 4 and Backpack 4 announcing October 2021. The new models offer sleeker, more compact form factors, Qualcomm (660) and Rockchip (3399) CPU options, USB-C, seamless integration with EloView®, monthly security updates via EloCare℠ OS 360 and Elo OEMConfig for ease of integration with third party MDM providers.


   
Due to supply chain challenges, Elo is not yet able to provide mass production quantities for customers and channel partners at this time. However, all I-Series 4 and Backpack 4 part numbers are available for pre-order with pricing available on Elo’s pricelist. Please work with your Elo sales professional to procure samples for any testing and/or development.

Elo will provide hardware support for the I-Series & Backpack 2.0/3.0 until October 2026 with priority for devices covered under Standard Warranty, Extended Warranty, and Advance Unit Replacement. Out of warranty devices will be supported on a case by case basis while supplies last. Devices with 12 or more months remaining on the standard warranty are eligible for purchase of an extended warranty. The deadline to purchase extended warranties is September 30, 2021. To check the warranty status of your device please visit the Elo RMA Portal. Please note, you will need to know the serial numbers of your device(s). Inventory & Last Time Buy 
• Please work your distribution partner on securing any remaining available inventory of I-Series and Backpack 2.0/3.0 along with any additional accessories. 
• Please consult with your sales representative for specific part numbers and details. 
• Recommended replacement part may not be electrically or mechanically identical to the discontinued product.
• Most Elo Edge Connect™ accessories are backwards and forwards compatible with the I-Series 2.0/3.0 and I-Series 4.
