Verify the Installed BIOS Version
- Connect a USB keyboard to the touchcomputer.
- Power on or restart the system.
- Press the Delete (DEL) key repeatedly during startup to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.
- Verify the installed BIOS version.
- If the BIOS version is already HC15V112, no update is necessary.
Update the BIOS

Do not power off the system or disconnect power while the BIOS update is in progress. Interrupting a BIOS update may render the system inoperable.

- Create a bootable USB flash drive using the procedure linked above.
- Download the HC15V112 BIOS firmware package.
- Extract the contents of the ZIP file.
- Copy all extracted files to the root of the bootable USB flash drive.
- Insert the USB flash drive into the touchcomputer.
- Boot the system from the USB flash drive.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the BIOS update.
- After the update has finished, remove the USB flash drive.
- Restart the touchcomputer.
- Enter the BIOS Setup Utility again and verify that the BIOS version now displays HC15V112.

- Ensure the BIOS files were copied to the root directory of the USB flash drive and not inside a folder.
- If the USB flash drive does not boot, verify the boot order in the BIOS Setup Utility.

Because BIOS version HC15V112 is the final firmware release for these legacy products, there is no benefit to reinstalling it unless you are recovering from a corrupted BIOS or performing a required firmware update.
