This article explains the EloResetController Utility found in the Elo Multi-Touch driver
This utility can be used to reset all Elo controllers. This information can also be found in the Elo Multi-Touch driver User's Manual.
7. Utility to Reset Elo Controllers: EloResetController.exe
7.1 This is a console application to reset Elo controllers. It is located under the Elo package’s installation folder; this utility must be executed under the Elo package installation folder where other dependent Elo binaries are stored. The utility must be executed with admin privilege.
7.2 Sample usage of the utility (4 options):
(1) EloResetController.exe /vendor
This will reset controller using vendor specific commands.
Currently only apply to controller models CTR-821x, CTR-83xx, CTR-9xxx, and CTR8060.
(2) EloResetController.exe /vendor /hide
(3) EloResetController.exe /usb
(4) EloResetController.exe /devcon
Example Schedule Template
A controller reset template is included with the Elo Multi-Touch driver package.
Follow the below steps:
- Launch Windows Task Scheduler
- In Task Scheduler Action Import browse to C:\Program Files\Elo Touch Solutions\Elo_Reset_Controller.xml to create a new task
- In Elo Reset Controller task Edit “Settings” and “Action” as suitable.
- If users prefer to run this utility periodically, Windows Task Scheduler could be utilized to run the utility with desired interval.
- If there are multiple Elo touch monitors connected to the system, the reset action will apply to all touch monitors.
- If no command line options provided (most sure way to get controller reset), all 4 options will be tried by the utility.
- The utility returns 0 for success and none zero for failure.
