EloResetController.exe is an administrative command-line utility bundled with the Elo Multi-Touch Driver for Windows. It provides programmatic methods to reinitialize, power-cycle, or reset connected Elo touch controllers without requiring a complete system reboot.
Location & Execution Requirements
- Installation Path: Located in the driver installation directory:
C:\Program Files\Elo Touch Solutions\ - Dependencies: Must be executed directly from within the installation folder where dependent Elo binary libraries are located.
- Privileges: Requires administrative privileges (run from elevated Command Prompt / PowerShell).
- Return Codes: Returns
0upon success and non-zero on failure.
Command-Line Syntax & Options

ℹ Multi-Monitor Note: In multi-display deployments, executing the reset command will simultaneously apply the reset sequence across all detected Elo touchmonitors.
Automating Scheduled Controller Resets in Windows Task Scheduler
The Elo Multi-Touch driver includes a pre-configured XML schedule template for automated maintenance:
- Open Windows Task Scheduler (press
Win + R, typetaskschd.msc, and hit Enter). - In the right-hand Actions pane, click Import Task….
- Browse to the driver directory and select the XML template:
C:\Program Files\Elo Touch Solutions\Elo_Reset_Controller.xml - In the task configuration window, adjust the Triggers (desired schedule interval, e.g., daily at 3:00 AM) and Settings to meet your deployment requirements.
