This article explains the Elotouch_Uninstaller.bat utility and how to use it

EloTouch_Uninstaller.bat is a driver and file removal tool which can be used on Windows based PC's to remove all Elo drivers and driver files. This is especially helpful for customers who are having issues installing a new touch driver when an older driver was on the system. 

1. Download EloTouch_Uninstaller.bat to a location on your computer.

2. Right-click on the .bat file and choose "Run as Adminstrator."


3. A Windows Command Prompt (cmd) will appear and the process will automatically begin running. 

4. During the process, a pop-up message may appear "Are you are sure you want to uninstall the Elo Touchscreen package?" choose YES.



5. After the Elo Touchscreen package has been removed, you will receive another pop-up message "Uninstallation is complete." Choose OK to continue. 



6. The EloTouch_Uninstaller utility will then continue until completed. When it is finished a message will appear in the cmd window stating: "Uninstall Complete - Please Reboot" then a 10-second countdown will begin. You can allow it to countdown and the cmd window will close or you can press any key on your keyboard to close the cmd window.

• NOTE: You may notice several Error messages in the cmd window dialogue, this is normal. The tool is working as expected. 

7. Restart your computer at this time. You should now be able to install the new Elo Touch driver without any issues.
