Where can I find information about PMB: 759, Product Notice: Change to AccuTouch Resistive Touch Screen Protective Liner?
Due to material shortages in the market, a change to the protective liner used on Elo’s AccuTouch® Resistive touch screens is required. The protective liner is attached to the coversheet of the AccuTouch screen after the touch screens are built. It is used to protect the screen during shipment and is removed once integrated into the final assembly.
While we make every effort to minimize product changes, at times the market may dictate that Elo has to make changes in material sources to ensure continued supply. Elo has completed extensive testing on this new protective liner and there is no impact to function or form factor of the product. We will implement this with a revision change.
Test Summary
• Visual: No stain, contamination, or scratch left on the coversheet of the AccuTouch screens.
• Thickness: both protective liner is 45um thick.
• 180° Peel off strength: peeling off strength of new protective liner is as suitable as the original liner.
• Environmental test: Visual inspection is conducted on screens together with protective films before and after the environmental storage. There’s no adhesive, ghost residual, ripple and peeling-off found on the surface of coversheets.
