This article addresses the question if two people can use the same touchscreen simultaneously.
Question: If I connect two touch monitors to a Windows computer, can they both be used at the same time?
Answer: Windows natively will only allow one mouse cursor instance at a time. For example: if you connect two mice to a Windows computer, there will only be one mouse cursor on the screen. Whichever mouse you use first will have control of the cursor. It is the same with touchscreens. In a native Windows setup, there can only be one mouse cursor instance; therefore, if you connect two or more touchscreens to a Windows computer there will still only be one mouse cursor and whichever screen is touched first will have control.
There are some apps you can install that will allow you to have more than one mouse cursor instance such as: MouseMux or Pluralinput.
- NOTE: Elo cannot provide support or assistance with using 3rd party applications and cannot guarantee our touchscreens will perform as expected when using these.
