The Elo Edge Connect Webcam operates off of USB. Below are some troubleshooting steps to take in the event the webcam is not working or being recognized in Windows.
1. If connecting to the edge connect on a monitor, make certain the USB touch cable is connected between the computer and the monitor.
2. Check the micro-usb connector on the webcam and verify it is not bent, broken, or damaged in any way.
3. Check the mico-usb port on the monitor or device the webcam is connecting to and make sure it does not look recessed or damaged.
4. Try the webcam on more than just one micro-usb port to see if the problem follows the webcam.
5. Test the webcam using a USB 2.0 Male to Micro-USB female adapter and test with a standard USB cable.
6. If after testing all the above the webcam still does not work then there may be an issue with the webcam and it should be returned under the warranty program .
