This article provides EloView 3 admins which items need to be addressed prior to EloView 4 migration
Thank you for your interest in migrating to EloView 4!
The below information is provided to help you prepare for the migration of your existing EloView 3 account and devices to the new EloView 4 platform. With Assisted Migration, we work closely with you and your team to properly prepare, plan, and once ready, even complete your migration for you.
The process follows a general timeline of:
- Preparation (see info below)
- Planning and schedule
- Migration (your EV3 account will be locked and devices migrated overnight)
- Device and content validation
- Temporary Provisioning process
Please review the below information and address each of the items prior to moving forward with EloView Assisted Migration.

Verify that you have access to your EloView 3 Account Admin email address
- You can verify your Account Admin by logging into your EloView account and then going to Accounts and then Manage Users
- If determined that your Account Admin needs to be changed, please email support@elotouch.com with your OrgID, new Account Admin name, and new Account Admin email address

Review your EloView 3 account details
- Ensure the new EloView 4 Network Whitelisting requirements have been fulfilled (details can be found here )
- Determine if your content has any reliance upon EV3 based data (use of hardware_id, etc) and share with your Elo technical contact
- For users with Sub Accounts, gather each sub account's OrgID and device count
- SAML users should begin planning for a secondary SAML instance to be used in EV4 as you cannot use the same SAML instance for both platforms simultaneously
- If using TeamViewer, gather your TeamViewer credentials (you will need to add these to your EloView 4 account post migration)

Update existing EloView 3 devices to the minimum required OTA for migration
- Each device in your EloView 3 account must meet minimum OTA requirements prior to migration
- Minimum device OTAs listed below
- 2.0 AOSP Android-7 = 3.64.87
- 3.0 AOSP Android-8 = 4.64.80+a
- 3.0 GMS Android-8 = 4.64.120
- 4.0 Value Android 10 = 5.000.029.0067+/av (recommended build for A10 4.0 devices)
- 4.0 Performance Android 10 =5.000.029.0041+p/ap (recommended build for A10 4.0 devices)
- 4.1 Performance Android 12 = 6.000.004.0085+p/ap (BSP: 6.000.004.0060+p+p/ap)
- 4.1 Value Android 12 = 6.000.004.0098+v/av (BSP 6.000.004.0075+v/av)
- EloView 4 Education and Prep
- Contact your Elo technical representative to schedule an EV4 training session

- Once EV4 training is complete, work with your Elo technical representative to schedule a pre-migration review
- Post migration you will need to temporarily follow a new device provisioning process. Details can be found here. Be sure to read thoroughly and speak with your Elo contact to help answer any questions.
