This article explains how to register multiple devices at once into an EloView 4 account

Registering multiple devices at once in EloView is beneficial for organizations managing large fleets of devices, as it streamlines the setup process, saves time, and reduces the chance of errors. Bulk registration ensures centralized control, allowing administrators to apply uniform settings, updates, and policies across all devices. It also supports scalability, making it easier to deploy new devices quickly, while maintaining accuracy and consistency in data entry. Additionally, custom fields like group, site, and time zone help organize devices for more efficient management.

The below information describes how to register multiple Elo devices at once in EloView. 

Download the Device List Template

1. Log in to your EloView account  https://secure.eloview.com

2. Navigate to the Devices section and click the Add Device + button.

3. Select the "Download Template" button.

4. Save the Template file to your preferred location.

Populate the Device List

5. Open the downloaded AddDeviceTemplate.csv file.

6. Fill in the required fields and any other desired fields using the template as a guide and then choose Save.

• Serial Number (required)
• Group
• Address
• City
• State
• Zip code
• Country
• Site Name
• Time Zone
• Firmware Version

Import the Device List

7. In the Add Devices page, click "Import Device List."

8. Browse to the saved device list file and click the Open button 

9. Click on the "Save" button to import and save devices into your EloView account. 

10.  A series of temporary messages will appear as the devices are being added.

11. Finally, navigate to the Devices section in EloView to confirm the newly imported devices.
