Device reports in EloView are an excellent way to monitor and manage the performance, status, and activity of your devices. These reports provide valuable insights into device usage, errors, and other key metrics, allowing businesses to identify issues, optimize device performance, and ensure compliance with operational standards. Custom reports help focus on specific data relevant to particular needs, making it easier to analyze trends and make informed decisions.
Below are step-by-step instructions for generating and downloading device reports in EloView, including both full reports and customized reports.
Steps to Generate a Full Report
1. Log In
- Access your EloView account by navigating to https://secure.eloview.com.
2. Select the Device(s)
- In the "Devices" section, check the box next to the device for which you want to generate a report.
- You can also select "All devices" to run a report on the entire fleet.
3. Click the Report Icon
- Click the Report icon (which resembles a notepad).
4. Download the Full Report
- To generate a full report, click on the Full Report download arrow.
- The report will begin downloading to EloView, and a message will appear at the bottom of the screen indicating the download is in progress.
5. Save the Full Report
- Once the download is complete, click the Full Report download arrow again to save the report to your local drive or a network location of your choice.
Steps to Generate a Custom Report
1. Customize the Report Columns
- If you wish to generate a custom report with specific data, click "Customize Columns" and select the columns you want to include in the report.
- After making your selections, click "Save."
2. Download the Custom Report
- Once the custom columns are saved, click on the Custom Reports download arrow to begin downloading the report to EloView.
3. Save the Custom Report
- After the report finishes downloading, click the Custom Reports download arrow again to save the file to your local drive or a network location of your choice.
Viewing the Report
• The downloaded file will be in .CSV format, which can be opened with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software.
• To view the report, navigate to the location where the file was saved, and open it in your preferred spreadsheet application.
