This article explains how to update an EloView 4 device to the latest Major Release
The following steps outline the process for updating your EloView device to the latest Major Release (MR) version. In this example, we are using an Elo I-Series 4 Slate device running MR31 (5.000.031.0089+p) and updating it to the latest available release, MR32 (5.000.032.0071+p).
1. Log in to your EloView account by navigating to https://secure.eloview.com.
2. Select the device you wish to update to the latest release.
3. Navigate to the Software tab and check for available updates.
4. If an update is available, you can either Schedule the update for a later time or proceed with the update immediately. For this guide, we are performing an immediate update.
5. Click on the latest available update version. Select Confirm to proceed with the update.
6. A warning message will appear. Choose "Yes" to continue with the update.
7. A temporary message will appear at the bottom of the screen stating "Software Update Scheduled."
8. A progress bar will display a message stating: "Your device will reboot and come online after the update is complete. This may take several minutes. It is safe to close this message."
9. Once the progress bar reaches 100%, the update process will finalize.
10. A final message will confirm: "Your device will reboot and come online after the update is complete. This may take several minutes. It is safe to close this message."
11. To verify the update has completed, return to the Software tab and check the current running software version.
12. The updated MR version can also be seen in "Software Version" column of the main Devices section in your EloView account.
