This article explains how to use filter profiles in EloView 4
Filter Profiles enable the creation of a subset of devices within a group or filter, providing more granular control over device settings. Settings applied through a filter profile are automatically locked for that subset, ensuring they cannot be overridden by subsequent changes at the filter, group, or account levels. If a device belongs to multiple filter profiles, the first profile to modify a specific setting takes precedence. Once applied, that setting is locked and cannot be edited by any other filter profile.
See below for how to use Filter Profiles in EloView.
- Note: This article assumes you have already created a Filter Profile following the steps [here].
1. Log in to your EloView account https://secure.eloview.com
2. In the Devices section click on the Filter Profile that has been created. In this example our Filter Profile is named "Offline."
3. In the Filter section, click on the Settings icon (gear icon).
4. The Filter settings will now be showing.
5. In the Settings section, click on the Edit button.
6. Establish all necessary settings for the subset of devices within the group or filter. Once modified, these settings are automatically locked and cannot be overridden by any subsequent changes. After making desired changes, click "Apply."
- The filter profile settings will only display those settings that have been modified.
7. For a device that is part of the Filter Profile, note that those settings are locked and cannot be modified.
Deleting a Filter Profile to Unlocked Settings
1. To remove previously-established filter profile settings, edit the filter profile and click the Delete Filter button.
2. When prompted, choose Delete Filter to finalize.
3. The Filter Profile is now gone.
4. For a device that was previously part of the Filter Profile, note that those settings are now unlocked and can be modified.
