This article explains how to fix an issue where Install Local APP is grayed out on EloView android devices
Q: When I try to install a local app on my Elo device, the option is "grayed out" and does not allow me to install locally. How can I install a local app?
A: When a device is added to an EloView account, the Auto Play feature is disabled by default, which prevents the installation of local apps on the device.
If you need to install a local app (e.g., an .apk file from a USB flash drive), you must first enable Auto Play for the device in the EloView account.
Follow the steps below:
1. Go to the Settings section of the device and click on the Edit button.
2. Scroll down to Auto Play and move the slider to the right to enable.
3. Click on the Apply button to save the changes.
4. A temporary message will appear indicating "Changes applied successfully."
5. You can now install a local app on the device.
