How to Use the EloResetController.exe Utility to Reset Elo Touch Controllers

EloResetController.exe is a command-line console utility included with the Elo Multi-Touch Windows driver package. It allows administrators to programmatically reset, reinitialize, and cycle connected Elo touch controllers without needing to reboot the host operating system.
Location & Execution Requirements

Default Directory:
C:\Program Files\Elo Touch Solutions\ - Execution Path: The executable must be run from within the Elo driver installation directory so it can access all required dependent binary libraries.
- Permissions: Must be executed with administrative privileges (elevated Command Prompt or PowerShell).

0upon success and a non-zero exit code on failure.

ℹ Multi-Monitor Note: If multiple Elo touchmonitors are attached to the system, executing the reset utility will apply the reset sequence across all connected monitors simultaneously.
Automating Scheduled Resets via Windows Task Scheduler
To run regular maintenance resets automatically at predetermined intervals:
- Open Windows Task Scheduler (press
Win + R, typetaskschd.msc, and press Enter). - In the right-hand Actions menu, select Import Task….
- Browse to
C:\Program Files\Elo Touch Solutions\and select the template file:Elo_Reset_Controller.xml. - Adjust the task Triggers (desired schedule/interval) and Actions as needed for your deployment.
