This article explains the Android Home mode setting on Elo Android devices 

All Elo Android devices ship standard in EloView mode which allows customers to take advantage of EloView, which is our content and device management cloud solution. For customers not wishing to take advantage of EloView, there is an alternative mode called, Android Home mode. This mode sets the device to operate as a standard Android tablet. Switching to Android Home mode, effectively disables EloView mode for the device, so it will no longer have access to many EloView features, including; Kiosk Mode, Remote Device and Content Management, OS updates, and many other features.
