This article provides the steps to follow to upload and apply payment settings in bulk for EloPay devices at the account level. Each time a file is uploaded, any matching serial numbers will automatically reinstall the EloPay client and apply the new payment settings. Account admin permission required.
Instructions:
1. Log in to https://secure.eloview.com
2. Go to the Account page.
3. Click the gear icon near the top-right corner.
4. Open the Payment Settings tab.
5. Choose your Integration Type, Processor, and Version (only First Data is available today; additional processors will be supported in future releases).
6. Click Download Template.
7. Open the downloaded .csv file (a text editor is recommended because Excel may remove leading zeros from fields like TID or DID).
8. On the next line, enter your values and save the file.
9. Click Import Template and select your completed .csv file.
10. Click Apply, and you’ll see the message confirming the data is being processed.
11. After the upload, click Uploaded Files (this button appears once you’ve uploaded your first file).
12. Click the download icon under the Action section.
13. Open the results .csv. Two new columns show the outcome:
- Status — Successful or Fail
- Remarks — explains the reason for failure (e.g., serial number not available, invalid terminal ID, MCC not available, invalid processor URL, etc.)
14. To verify settings on a specific device, go to Device Settings → Payment Settings tab.
No changes are required on the device itself. As the Payment Settings are applied, the device may briefly display the EloPay initialization screen. Once the process is complete, the EloPay animation will appear, or the device will return to the content assigned to it.
During EloPay initialization screen, the device performs the following steps:
• Waiting for app configuration
• Performing Datawire registration
• Starting Websocket Service
• Initializing Reader
• Initializing Fiserv Keys
• Starting App
