Elo Edge Connect 10-Key Keypad – Quick Installation Guide

This article provides installation instructions for the Elo Edge Connect 10-Key Keypad (ELO-KIT-KEYPAD-1523L-1723L) when used with compatible Elo touchscreen monitors.

Package Contents

• 1 × 10-Key Keypad
• 1 × Edge Connect Cable
• 1 × Bracket for 1523L
• 1 × Bracket for 1723L
• 2 × Flat Head Screws (M4 × 18 mm)
• 2 × Pan Head Screws (M3 × 6 mm)
• 4 × Flat Head Screws (M3 × 7 mm)

Installing the Keypad

Step 1: Attach Keypad to Bracket

1. Connect the cable to the keypad.
2. Select the appropriate bracket for either the 1523L or 1723L monitor.
3. Install the keypad onto the bracket.
4. Secure the keypad using four (4) M3 × 7 mm flat head screws from the kit.

Step 2: Prepare the Monitor

1. Remove the two (2) screws from the peripheral cover.
2. Detach the peripheral cover.
3. Remove the screw from the monitor stand, as shown.

Step 3: Connect Cable to Monitor

1. Connect the keypad cable to the monitor Edge Connect port.

Step 4: Secure Keypad Assembly

1. Install the keypad and bracket assembly onto the monitor.
2. Begin fastening with two (2) M3 × 6 mm pan head screws.
3. Install two (2) M3 × 18 mm flat head screws.
4. Tighten all screws to complete the installation.

Installing Optional MSR Edge Connect (E001002)

Step 1: Remove Edge Cover

1. Remove the Edge Cover from the keypad to expose the peripheral bay.

Step 2: Install MSR

1. Gently press the MSR into the peripheral bay.
2. Ensure the connector is fully mated.

Step 3: Secure MSR with Screws

1. Install two (2) M3 × 18 mm flat head screws.

Step 4: Apply Mylar Covers

1. Remove the protective film from the included mylar covers.
2. Place the covers over the exposed screws.

Notes and Best Practices

• Powering off the system before installation is recommended.
• Ensure all screws are fully tightened before use.
• Do not force Edge Connect peripherals into place.
