This article explains how delayed content deployment works in EloView 4.
Beginning with the June 2018 release for Android 7 (Nougat) devices, EloView introduced the ability to schedule content deployments. This feature allows administrators to deploy content at a specific time rather than immediately after publishing.
Content scheduling can be configured at the following levels:
- Device
- Group
- Filter
- Account
The scheduling option is available within the Settings menu for each of these levels.
Configure Delayed Content Deployment
- Navigate to the device’s Settings tab. Click Edit in the upper-right corner of the screen, then scroll down to Delayed Content Deployment.
Click the ? icon to view additional information about this setting.
- Move the toggle switch to the right to enable the Delayed Content Deployment schedule.
By default, scheduled deployment is disabled. When enabled, you can select specific days of the week and a time when content will be deployed to the device.
Key Behavior
- If scheduled deployment is disabled, content is deployed immediately, which is the same behavior as in earlier EloView releases.
- The scheduled deployment time is based on the device’s configured time zone.
- Multiple days of the week can be selected for scheduled deployments.
- If the time between the content drag-and-drop action and the scheduled deployment time is less than 15 minutes, the content will deploy immediately.
- Actual deployment may occur within approximately 2 to 5 minutes of the scheduled time.
- If new content is dropped onto the device before the scheduled deployment time, the most recently added content will be deployed.
