This articles describes how to enable Touch Through capability on Elo touchscreens and monitors
Touch Through is a feature built into some Elo PCAP controllers and monitor firmware which allows you to place a piece of glass or other material onto the front of the touch glass and operate the touchscreen. Enabling touch through may require adjustments to the monitor's firmware for touch to work correctly. Please check your product's User's Guide to see if touch through is an option on your Elo product.
Desktop & Open Frame Touch Monitors
On most of our desktop monitors with PCAP, there is an option in the OSD (on-screen display) menu that must be enabled to use the Touch Through feature.
- Open the OSD menu by pressing the Menu button on the OSD remote
- Choose Miscellaneous
- Choose Touch
- Choose Touch Through
-
Select Enable to enable the Touch Through feature.
- NOTE: material up to 6mm thick with NO air gap can be used on desktop and open frame touch monitors.
Large Open Frame Monitors and Interactive Digital Signage Monitors (IDS)
- Some of our larger open frame and IDS monitors have an option in the OSD menu to enable Touch Through; however, some require firmware updates to enable this feature. Please check the User's Guide for your monitor for details.
- If your monitor requires a firmware update for Touch Through, it will be listed in the Firmware Downloads section of the Elo website HERE
- NOTE: material up to 6mm thick with NO air gap can be used on large open frame and IDS touch monitors.
