This article provides the procedure to update the BIOS version on Elo POS units

In order to update the BIOS version on your Elo POS unit, please follow the procedure below:

Software/Hardware Need
• EloPOS touch computer
• BIOS Firmware Files (sent by Elo Tech Support, or may be on Elo website)

Steps
1. Power on the EloPOS touch computer and press DEL key to enter BIOS .
    a. Select Boot Update System BIOS and change the setting to Enabled
    
    b. Select Save & Exit Save Changes and Reset to reboot into Windows 

2. Download new BIOS update files and unzip to a location on the computer.

3. In Windows system, open the BIOS folder and select update.bat to execute BIOS update (Note: E2, E3 and E5 BIOS have different files so DO NOT update a wrong BIOS file.) 

4. After update finishes, system will auto reboot. 

5. Press DEL key to enter BIOS system 

6. Select Save & Exit Restore Defaults  

7. Select Save & Exit Save Changes and Reset to reboot system
