This article describes how to install OPOS and JPOS cash drawer testing solutions on the EloPOS system
EloPOS - Cash Drawer Setup and Testing Instructions
Hardware Requirements
• Cash Drawer – Tested with APG’s MultiPRO 320 interface
• Cash Drawer Cable – Tested with APG’s CD-101A cable
Software Requirements
• POSforDotNet-1.14.msi – Microsoft POS for .NET class library
• jdk-7u80-windows-x64.exe – Java Development Kit (JDK)
• POSTest-1.10.0-bin_x64-jdk1.7.zip – JPOS JDK 1.7 POS tester
Instructions for OPOS Driver Solution
1. Using the cash drawer cable, connect the RJ-12 end to the EloPOS system and the RJ-45 end to the cash drawer.
2. Verify if the ‘Elo CashDrawer UPOS driver…’ is installed.
• Filename is EloUPOSSetup_4.0.6.zip
• Select 64-bit and install with setup.exe
• Choose the OPOS option during installation
3. Verify if the ‘Microsoft POS for .NET 1.14’ is installed.
• Filename is POSforDotNet-1.14.msi
• Install the entire Runtime Components and SDK package on local hard drive
4. Open the Start Menu, navigate to the Microsoft POS for .NET 1.14.1 folder and then open POS for .NET SDK Samples
5. Open the Sample Application folder and then run the TestApp.exe utility.

2. Expand on CashDrawer and then select EloPOS CD1
3. Click the buttons Open -- Claim -- checkmark DeviceEnabled -- OpenDrawer
Instructions for JPOS Driver Solution
• Filename is EloUPOSSetup_4.0.6.zip
• Select 64-bit and install with setup.exe
• Choose the JPOS option during installation
3. Download jdk-7u80-windows-x64.exe and perform a standard installation.
4. Download POSTest-1.10.0-bin_x64-jdk1.7.zip and extract to C:\POSTest-1.10.0-bin_x64-jdk1.7
5. Open the POSTest-1.10.0-bin_x64-jdk1.7 folder and edit the JPOStest-jdk1.7.bat script.
6. Verify that the JPOS JDK 1.7 POS tester and JDK folder paths are valid. Update the paths as necessary and then save the file.
7. Run the JPOStest-jdk1.7.bat script to launch the JPOS JDK 1.7 POS tester.

2. Click the buttons Open -- Claim -- checkmark Device Enabled -- Open Cash Drawer.
