This article explains why an Elo touch monitor may not be working with an A-Trust thin client
Please see the information and corrective actions below regarding Elo touch monitors not working with an A-Trust thin client.
Executive Summary
A customer recently reported that some Elo monitors would not work with Zero Client Devices, particularly A-Trust MD-100 Zero Clients. If any device is attached to the A-Trust via an external hub, it will not even show up in the device list. This applies to keyboards, mouse, or any touch controller. There currently are no drivers, firmware, or workarounds to correct for this issue. Elo’s Engineers are working with A-Trust’s support for possible FW update to their device.
- Only Elo monitors with internal USB hubs are affected. Monitors with no internal USB hub work fine.
Corrective Action
• Use a different Elo monitor that does not have an internal USB hub.
• Use a different device that does not have issues with USB hubs.
