On Elo X-Series Revision B Touchcomputers, Windows may not allow the built-in display to be identified as Display 1 when multiple monitors are connected. The EloSetPrimary_X-Series utility adjusts how Windows treats the displays so that newly opened applications appear on the X-Series touchscreen instead of the external monitor.

When Should I Use This Utility?
Use the EloSetPrimary_X-Series utility if:
- Windows opens new applications on an external monitor instead of the X-Series touchscreen.
- Your X-Series Rev. B is used with one or more external displays.
- You want newly launched applications to automatically open on the integrated Elo display.
- You have restored the system image or changed the monitor configuration.

Run the Utility
- Download the attached EloSetPrimary_X-Series_v1.0.0.0.zip file.
- Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a local folder on the X-Series Touchcomputer.
- Connect the external monitor.
- Double-click EloSetPrimary_X-Series.exe.
- A Command Prompt window briefly appears and then closes automatically. No user interaction is required.
- Launch a Windows application to verify that newly opened applications now appear on the X-Series touchscreen.

- Open Command Prompt.
- Navigate to the folder containing EloSetPrimary_X-Series.exe.
Run:
EloSetPrimary_X-Series.exe
- Verify that newly opened applications appear on the X-Series display.
When Should the Utility Be Run?
Depending on your deployment, Elo recommends running the utility in one of the following situations:
