Update the BIOS
- Download the desired BIOS package (V113 or V116) and save it to your computer.
- Extract the contents of the ZIP file.
- Copy all extracted files to the root of the bootable USB flash drive.
- Insert the USB flash drive into the X3 Revision B Touchcomputer.
- Restart the computer. During startup, tap the SETUP icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to enter the BIOS. Alternatively, connect a USB keyboard and repeatedly press the Delete (DEL) key during startup.
- Navigate to the Boot menu and configure the USB flash drive as the first boot device.
- Save your BIOS settings and exit.
- The system will boot to a DOS command prompt.

- The BIOS update will begin. The update typically completes in less than five minutes.
- When the update completes and the C:\ prompt reappears, remove the USB flash drive and restart the computer.
- Enter the BIOS and verify the Project Version shown on the Main tab reflects the BIOS version you installed.

Do not power off the system, remove power, or interrupt the BIOS update while it is in progress. Interrupting the update may permanently damage the system.

- Verify the USB flash drive is bootable.
- Ensure all BIOS files are copied to the root directory of the USB flash drive.
- Confirm the USB flash drive is configured as the first boot device.
- Verify you are running the correct batch file for the BIOS package you downloaded.
- After the update completes, verify the Project Version shown in the BIOS matches the installed firmware.
💡 Tip
If your X3 Revision B Touchcomputer is already running the latest BIOS version, no update is necessary. BIOS updates should only be performed when required to resolve a specific issue or install the final supported firmware revision.
