Tools Needed
Hardware:
• Elo AIO Touchcomputer with Cash Drawer Port option. (X-Series, E-Series, Expansion Module)
• Compatible cash Drawer – example: APG VB320 BL 1616
• Cash Drawer cable with Epson pinout (example: APG P/N: CD-101B
Software:
• Elo UPOS driver
• POS for .NET v1.14
Procedure
1. Using a compatible cable, make hardware connection from Elo AIO cash drawer port to connection on cash drawer.
2. Download and unzip the Elo UPOS driver.
3. Choose 32 or 64 bit depending upon which OS is on the Elo AIO Touchcomputer.
4. Double click the setup application to install.
5. Choose Next to begin the installation.
6. Choose OPOS, then Next.
7. Select the appropriate installation depending upon which Elo AIO you have, choose Next.
8. Choose Next to continue with installation.
9. Choose Next to confirm installation.
10. Choose Next to continue.
11. Choose Close when installation is complete.
12. Download and install POSforDotNet-1.14
13. Choose Next to continue installation.
14. Accept the Microsoft license agreement and choose Next to continue.
15. Make selection choice, then choose Next to continue.
16. Choose Next to allow driver to install in the file location. (Do not change location)
17. Select the SDK dropdown and choose “Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive.”
18. Choose Install to allow components and SDK to install.
19. Installation should only take about a minute. Choose Finish when installation completes.
20. Click on Windows Start button and navigate to the Microsoft POS for .NET and open the POS for .NET SDK Samples folder.
21. Open the Sample Application folder.
22. Double click the TestApp application.
23. Click on the (+) beside the Cash Drawer section to drop down choices.
24. Choose the appropriate cash drawer selection; this example uses Elo E-Series 1st. Click on Open, Claim, and then place check mark in DeviceEnabled.
25. Choose OpenDrawer. The Cash Drawer should then open and an acknowledgement will be given in the status window of the test app.
