This article explains how to install the Elo Cash Drawer UPOS driver, configure Microsoft POS for .NET, and verify operation of a cash drawer connected to an EloPOS™ All-in-One Touchcomputer.

This procedure uses an APG Multi-Pro 320 cash drawer with an APG CD101A cash drawer cable as an example. The same general process applies to other supported cash drawers that use the Elo Cash Drawer UPOS driver.

Required Hardware and Software
- EloPOS™ All-in-One Touchcomputer
- Supported cash drawer (example: APG Multi-Pro 320)
- Cash drawer cable (example: APG CD101A)
- Elo Cash Drawer Driver (EloUPOSSetup_4.0.6) - attached to this article
- Microsoft POS for .NET v1.14.1

Install the Elo Cash Drawer Driver
- Connect the cash drawer to the EloPOS using the appropriate cash drawer cable.

If the Elo Cash Drawer UPOS driver is not already installed, locate it in:
C:\EloTouchSolutions\Peripherals\CashDrawerIf the driver is not present, download it from the attachment included with this article.
- Extract the driver ZIP file.
- Run Setup.exe.

Complete the installation wizard:
- Select Next.
- Select OPOS.
- Accept the default installation folder (or choose another location).
- Continue selecting Next until the installation begins.
- Review the default cash drawer logical names.
- Select Close when the installation completes.
ℹ Note
The default logical device name installed by the Elo Cash Drawer UPOS driver is EloPOS CD1. This name will be used later when testing the cash drawer.

Install Microsoft POS for .NET
- Install Microsoft POS for .NET v1.14.1.

Proceed through the installation wizard:
- Select Next.
- Accept the license agreement.
- Accept the default installation location.
- Install both the Runtime Components and the SDK by selecting Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive.
- Select Install.
- Select Finish.
Test the Cash Drawer
- Open: Start → Microsoft POS for .NET 1.14.1 → POS for .NET SDK Samples
- Open the Sample Application folder.
- Run TestApp.exe.

Within Microsoft POS Tester:
- Select OposAndCompatibilityLevel1.
- Select EloPOS CD1 under CashDrawer.
- Select the following commands in order:
- Open
- Claim
- DeviceEnabled
- OpenDrawer
The cash drawer should immediately open.
⚠ Troubleshooting
If the cash drawer does not open:
- Verify the cash drawer cable is securely connected.
- Confirm the Elo Cash Drawer UPOS driver installed successfully.
- Verify the logical device name is EloPOS CD1.
- Ensure Microsoft POS for .NET Runtime Components and SDK were both installed.
- Confirm the cash drawer is compatible with the EloPOS cash drawer interface.
💡 Tip
The Microsoft POS Tester utility is an excellent way to verify that the Elo Cash Drawer UPOS driver is functioning correctly before integrating the cash drawer with a POS application.
