This article explains whether EloPOS supports legacy boot in the BIOS.

The EloPOS does not have a Legacy option when it comes to booting. This system is intended for Windows 10 64 bit which uses UEFI.

Legacy boot is going away on most modern computers.

Typically, people want to disable UEFI when trying to install older X86 Operating Systems (Windows XP, 7 32 bit etc.) The Processors in the EloPOS units (Geminilake and Coffeelake) do not support these older systems.

Below are the qualified operating systems on the EloPOS

• Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (64bit)
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop/Server 15 (64bit)
• Cent OS 7 (64bit)
